Peterhof was the summer residence of Peter the Great. The Peterhof fountain complex has 173 fountains and 4 cascades. Peterhof was built on the one hand in response to Versailles, and on the other hand, as a triumphal monument to the successful completion of Russia's struggle and access to the Baltic Sea.
The state museum Hermitage in St. Petersburg is a unique palace complex in which rare and richest expositions of masterpieces of painting, sculptures and architecture and also historical values of the previous centuries are collected. During its existence, the palace was the official summer residence of three Russian monarchs - Catherine I, Elizabeth Petrovna and Catherine II.
The rest of the day is dedicated to a sightseeing tour of St. Petersburg - a city, which was the official capital of the Russian state for almost 2 centuries (from 1730 to 1918). You will visit St. Isaac's Cathedral, which is considered the largest cathedral in Russia, the Savior on Spilled Blood, Nevsky Prospect and many other sights.

Today you will visit Peterhof - the monument of architecture and landscape art of the first quarter of the XVIII century, received world fame as the "capital of fountains".
You will visit the Bath Cottage and get the insight into the everyday life of the Russian nobility, stroll in the beautiful Lower Park, luxuriously decorated with the 176 fountains of various shapes and styles and numerous gilded statues of ancient gods and heroes, and explore the Grand Palace (outside).
The rest of the day is dedicated to the Hermitage Museum - the largest State Museum in Russia and one of the ten most popular cultural, historical and art museums in the world. The most significant museum building is the Winter Palace which is famous for its history and marvelous exterior and interior.
The pearls of the collection of old European paintings are the works of Leonardo da Vinci, Titian, Caravaggio, and Rembrandt. The museum has a rich collection of paintings by Rubens, Rembrandt, Van Duck, Poisson, Veronese, Claude Lorrain and others.
After the tour driver will transfer you to the pier to board the ship.
Early in the morning, local guide will meet you on the pier to accompany to the Catherine’s Palace – a prominent example of baroque architecture and the former residence of Catherine I, Elizabeth Petrovna and Catherine II, located 26 km south from Saint Petersburg in Tsarskoye Selo (now Pushkin).
During the tour you will enjoy the marvelous views of Catherine’s park, visit the replica of the world-famous Amber Room.
The second part of the day is devoted to the exploration of the main Saint Petersburg sights. You will walk along Nevsky avenue to take photos in the most beautiful places of this picturesque street such as the Kazan Cathedral, the Palace Square and some others (outside).
After that, you will be transferred to the Spilled Blood Church built in the memory of the fact that the Emperor Alexander II was mortally wounded in the result of the assassination attempt on 1 March 1881 (outside). The highlight of this day is the Saint Isaac’s Cathedral - the largest Orthodox church in St. Petersburg (inside).
